Are linkshells even a thing anymore?

Hi,

I've been playing for a little over a week after not playing for almost a year. I came back when a couple of friends showed me some info on the Deep Dungeon. Since coming back, all my linkshells are completely dead.

I'm not looking for a free company to join, I have a private FC for storage reasons and I have no interest in giving that up.

I would like an avenue for some socializing in the game, though.

Do people actually still use linkshells? Are there any Linkshell communities on Hyperion that aren't just relegated to Hunt shells or is it all just FCs now?

For HUNTS they are yes

There are still LS communities but a lot of it is generally FCs now.

I have still seen plenty of LS communities still though, old ones generally seem to die anyways. Probably what happened to yours

The main social hubs are FCs, but you could always start your own linkshell! Put up PF that you are looking for people to chitchat with and you will certainly get many players to join in no time.
