Tank Gear Suggestions from a Friend...
From a friend of mine in game who wanted to make a suggestion on the current style and if possible future styles of tank gear for Final Fantasy XIV.

"I would like to see more armor that contains a more broader and intimidating look to it. One that would strike fear into their enemies. For example, shoulder pads that are somewhat larger in size with spikes, skulls or dragon skin to name a few additions. Perhaps even some effects such as Ifrit's flames or Ramuh's lightning bolts to really spice things up. There is some augmented gear with shoulder effects that seem to have been forgotten released sometime ago. I would like to see more of those effects and color variations.
I want a tank to stand out as a leader of the group. I noted that all the primals that we have encounter in the past have very distinct looks to their appearance. Perhaps something taken from them could be used as a badge of honor. Perhaps some sort of trinket for my gear or animation as suggested above with shoulder effects.
The Lore gear is a step in the right direction, but it needs to be more "manly" for the male counter-parts. The damage dealers and healer gear seem to get it down correctly for the male aspect, but the tank gear is questionable. I would like to see more practical armor that does not have a hole in it's chest or daggers for heels (tank lore chest piece & feet).
I also feel like a tank among many others that look similar and very alike. I would like to feel unique and stand out if possible. I don't want to have to glamor my gear because the current end game gear that I work so hard for looks silly.
