Upgrade System for Artifact Gear

I'd like to start off with saying I really like a lot of the Artifact gear. Both the earlier sets, and the newer esoteric sets. It's sometimes nice to have single sets to glamour, or simply have the appearance of the job you're on. E.g. instead of every tank looking the same in Yafaemi gear, you can actually look like DRK, PLD, or WAR separately, or glamoured differently.

My suggestion isn't "game changing," like asking for multiple glamours on one set. (Although that would be awesome.) I'm simply asking if it would be possible to continue on some path of upgrading Artifact gear? Example: Buy esoteric gear. Upgrade it to 210. Then continue to upgrade it beyond 210, on a path that is relevant and on par with current gear.
