Q: Will you add in some just-for-fun minigames like the ones from the Gold Saucer in FFVII, or card games like the Triple Triad in FFVIII be added?
A: Although not included in the 2.0 document, there are plans for adding minigames like the ones from the Gold Saucer. We are thinking of adding them as the next phase for entertainment after housing is introduced! As for card games, it will be important to go for both the entertainment value and reward aspect of the games. They are being considered and if a good plan comes up, we would definitely like to go for it.

You know, parley wouldn't be so bad if we could play against other players and collect tiles. Also, the tiles should be monsters, not crystals and such. Then there could be abilities to turn mobs into tiles or they could have a chance of dropping tiles. The primals could drop rare tiles that are like the character and summon cards from Triple Triad. Then we could sit across from each other in taverns and play parley or wherever.

I don't know, I never really cared much for parleying. It's pretty much a mini-game version of dialogue trees from Jade Empire or Dragon Age. I would like to see Triple Triad make an appearance again since it's been too long since I've loaded up VIII.

There's an ability button but as far as I know there are no "Abilities" to learn or use for Parley. Parley could still be tweaked to work in the game as a mini-game but ya, it just needs to be fleshed out lol.Quote:
