Completely new, how to find friends

I'm really sorry if I post this in the wrong area but I'm new to the game and wanted to make some friends but I can't find any forums for it anywhere can anyone help me out

Sadly I play on a different server to you, but the next best thing is advice I can give you - one of which is to just try talking with people you might see around on your server, such as during a FATE or in the Adventurer's guild. Joining a linkshell or Free Company is an alternative, but it's often difficult to see whether they are recruiting (those that shout out in the game are usually very large ones where new players tend to get ignored or overshadowed sadly).

Still, a way to find linkshells or Free Companies on your server is to check the forum for your server (in your case, that is Ultros) and see if there are any lses or FCs who have posted in there that are tailored to helping new people or making new friends (a lot are set up more for endgame stuff though). Just be aware that there are posting restrictions on the server forums where you have to be a higher level in game before you can make posts there sadly. But you can still read them and take note of contact details to make contact with that person in the game.

Finally, I know there are quite a few people from Ultros on this forum so I am sure they will sooner or later see this and will be more than happy to befriend you. :) Either way, don't despair!

idk how ultros novice network is, but that can be a good way to run into people that are helpful, in chat at least
