Primals (Hard)??
1st: I don't know if this is the right place to post this.
2nd: I think this thread been posted before.
3rd: Im posting this, because the game developers hasn't dealt with this matter since the last expansion. It pretty confusing to new players.
In 2.0, there were trio primals story mode and hard mode. On the next patch, the extreme mode released. (makes sense).
Later, the next primals have hard and extreme. We've been farming this for the maount, turned out we were doing the hard mode. As everyone says, "the story mode doesn't drop mounts." Where's the story mode then?
On the next expansion, the same pattern although we noticed some abilities cannot be used as it level to for Ravana and Bismarck (hard mode).
Conclusion, adding hard mode next to a primal, which is the story mode is confusing and meaningless to new players since there's no mode lower than hard.
Example sould be done:
thok ast thok (blank) or (story mode)
thok ast thok (hard/extreme mode)

Story mode versions are 4 man trials.
It's an odd naming convention sure, but it s what it is.
Also, mounts come from Extreme modes only. Always have.
It's not that it's story mode you're needing to avoid, it's both story and hard modes. The way you worded it made it a lot more convoluted of an issue than it is.

The early primals used the following conventions.
No descriptor means "for four players (1/1/2)"
The (Hard) descriptor means "for eight players (2/2/4)"
The (Extreme) descriptor means "for eight players (2/2/4) who want the good loots"
If there's any confusion, it should be because Containment Bay S1T7 isn't a 4-man fight.
By now, we're used to trials being 2/2/4, and this is typically what we assume when we enter a trial, but in the early 2.x days, new primals were added to the story with only (Hard) versions to indicate that even though they were part of the story, they were not of the same difficulty bracket as the original 1/1/2 story primals.

At the time of 3.2, they made the decision to stop using the (Hard) title for 8 man trials as it had become the standard for trials and primal battles. Thus the conventions became:
Name of Trial Location
Name of Trial Location (Extreme)
And for special cases, The Minstrel's Ballad: Interpretive Name
This had been mentioned in one of the pre 3.2 Live Letters.
