Why Are ARM and BSM So Reliant on Adamantite?

Adamantite Ore can only be harvested every 36 minutes. It takes five Ore to make a Nugget and you get 15-21 Ore each time. Every ARM and BSM Red Scrip item (bar the Aurum Regis Creasing Knife and five Scrip Titanium Ingots) requires 3+ Adamantite Nuggets. This puts a floor on how long it takes to cap Scrip on those classes that the other crafting classes don't have.

These items should be balanced around how much Adamantite they require since it's the choke point. They are not. A starred Adamantite Greatsword requires four Nuggets and gives 62 Scrip (15.5 Scrip per Nugget) but a starred Adamantite Alembic requires five Nuggets and gives 40 Scrip (8 Scrip per Nugget). So--assuming 15 Ore per trip--it takes 11 harvests to cap off of Swords and 20 to cap off of Alembics; and this is just today's example.

Please, in 4.0: a) Don't make some crafting professions reliant on timed nodes and others not; and b) Weight your rewards around the timed items.

Can grow Althyk Lavender a large plot will give you 24 lavender when using shroud soil and you can trade each lavender in for 1 Adamantite Nugget. Other tradable items are Aurum Regis Nugget x2 , Abalathian Rock Salt x5 , Titanium Nugget x3 and Hardsilver Nugget x2.

The need for Adamantite Ore is one reason I have been gathering that, while gathering Chysahl Collectibles. I'd use the Chysahl Collectibles exclusively for my Red Gathering Scrip, and I'd get the Adamantite ore for my own use.

I must have totally missed this somehow, where is this and what and how?

I suppose you could grow more using flower pots. The seeds are also available on the market board and can use the shroud soil to increase yield giving you 3 from each plant.
