In all honesty, do you find Gold Saucer funny ?

I kind of pity the Gold Saucer visitors when the only thing to do there is to play cards and play boring games like "find the culprit, save my pet" (as fun as the butterfly hunt in FFX), I would never pay for such things LOL

So do you think it's okay as it is ? Do you like spending time there ?

Personally, it's not my cup of tea, it's kind of boring, there is not very interesting thing to do...
I would like more real attractions, like roller coaster. In FFVII there is the Speed Square where you can win one of the best weapon for Aerith, and you have to shoot targets, I think it was funny

The games are fun but the lack of good rewards is, imho the real reason behind the lack of players going there :/

All of the minigames are essentially exactly the same thing, dressed up in different forms (a timed button press = win)

The gates are hit and miss.
The dancing one is very boring, having to copy the emotes the npc does, takes a few minutes and is no chance of you failing.
The vase one, I follow the exact same path every single time to the three npcs.
Skinchange one I don't do, I can never really see the differences, normally just activate, pick any npc and see if it's right. Gets it over quickest.
I don't mind the one where the guy tries to blow you off the platform. It's pure RNG, but can be fun.
I don't mind the two where you have to jump up the platforms and avoid the bombs.

They could certainly do with coming up with something more creative. I had high hopes for Verminion, but that is just terrible. And obv the card tourney is STILL broken lol

It'll improve over time I think. I'm mostly waiting for something like Blitzball to be added - though I hope that's done in such a way as to make it worthwhile and engaging on a long term rather than short term basis.

I never spend too much time there. I find it very boring. I hope they improve it but I got my doubts that they will.

Chocobo race is kinda nice since you have to put some effort in it to be good with it.

I always fail at the dancing but the other ones are simple.

Vermillion is just 3 times a week for free 10k MGP for me, I don't get it at all.

I still haven't unlocked it. Never saw the point.

Fun is a pretty good reward in itself, so either the games are fun or they lack good rewards.


Me personally? I spend as little time there as possible. I don't like how it looks, I don't like the music and only the GATEs are remotely interesting to me, which are once every 15 minutes only. I admit, though, I do sometimes do the old 1.0 gathering minigames for nostalgia sake >_>

I hate that place, I find it boring, the music is horrendous, there is nothing interesting, the place is so overcrowded that is hard to even see your toes, I go there now and then for the cactus pot lottery, but other then that .. no nothing much in there. I dont play card games although I keep collecting them....in short

Do I like the Gold saucer ? NO and therefore I find no fun in it
