I have recently begun listening to music via WASAPI exclusive mode through my preferred music player, Foobar2000. When attempting to start FFXIV while in exclusive mode, FFXIV immediately crashes upon startup.
A current workaround is to close the player, start the FFXIV client, then start the player up afterwards, but I would prefer if the FFXIV client could handle such device lockouts a bit more elegantly.
