3.3 graphical issue with Surface Pro 4

Sometimes when I travel I play on my Surface Pro 4, which has that intel IRIS graphics chip. Prior to 3.3, it ran the game well using a lower resolution in the game, rather than the native screen resolution.

Ever since the 3.3 update though, there's not graphical resolution that fits the screen under full screen mode unless it's the super high resolution of the screen. When at this resolution, the game does NOT run well. Also since I never took note, I never really noticed if I had it in Full Screen mode or Borderless Window mode. Regardless, it doesn't fit the screen now.

I see other posts complaining about borderless window mode, could this be related?

I tried to play last night on the surface and there was suddenly no good way to do it.

Upon further review, could it be an issue that I can't swap resolutions in borderless window mode, but perhaps I could prior to 3.3?
