There's this thing on the character options > hotbars > custom.
I can't make it work, did anyone try this? I wanted to make 3 hotbars into emote bars when out of combat, and when in combat make them into shortcuts, macros and things like that.
Only work for controllers? Is it not implemented yet? Or am I not intellectually capable of turning it on?
I use it for the controller's cross-hotbars myself, so am not sure if it's different for the regular straight hotbars. I can tell you that setting is coordinated with two other settings:
"Enable customization for when weapon is sheathed" and "Enable customization for when weapon is drawn"
With crossbars, those control which bars you'll cycle between using R1 or L1, since only one crossbar is shown on screen at a time. But I'm not certain whether those settings are exclusive to crossbars, or whether the regular hotbars have an equivalent for hotbar visibility with a sheathed or drawn weapon.
You need to set what hot/cross bars are shared vs not shared. And I believe there is a setting for sheated/unsheated. So you can adjust that. It takes a bit of adjusting and finetuning but it works.
Is there a way to get this to work for keyboard/mouse? I can't figure it out.
