I know some people who are very fanatic of penny pinching. They'll gladly take airships and run everywhere to save a few gil, constantly chastising me for wasting gil while I reply "Opportunity cost."
Though, I'm the gillionaire, and they're scrapping around in the couple mil range.
How much gil would you be saving?
RPers use them too.
I like to use them when I'm already in cities and going to another one. More so when going to Ul'dah since you can go to Gold Saucer from any city for free, and from there another free trip to Ul'dah.
People use Airships. I do myself occasionally. If Im going from say Gridania to Limsa I its about 300 gil cheaper to spend 1 minute getting to the Airship and using it instead. I don't think it was intended to try and bring life to anything. Infact I think its actually been requested a few times that Ishgard get added to the Airship routes.
Not sure why it would be an issue. Adding a new Airship route takes almost no resources from development and has no real drawbacks. Its not like its supposed to be a really big deal. I mean you could argue there is an issue with Eorzea being lifeless but this particular thing has nothing to do with that.
Would you prefer they didn't add the route at all? Why?
