Lvl 55 LTW class quest "Perfect Pitch" not completing

Crafted the Dhalmelskin Leggings of Scouting for the quest and went to deliver the complimentary pair of boots to Aubrenard for "Perfect Pitch". When you talk to him his couple text boxes goes through and than the screen goes black and starts to cycle as if going to a cutscene. When the screen comes back up the is no completion or progression of quest, it sits on deliver the boots to Aubrenard and he has the highlighted turn in icon above his head still. If you talk to him again the same thing happens and will not change. I have tried turning in the quest from many positions around the fireplace of the Forgotten Knight to no avail.
