Just wondering where everyone gets their shards from?
I haven't really crafted in the year I've played so I jabs about 2-4k of each shard. But recently I've been hitting crafting and DoLs pretty hard. I've already burned through. Most of my Lightning on Weaver and am only mid 30s.
I've done some pricing and a stack of 999 shards runs 150-200k. Assuming I get an average of 300 exp per synth that's only about 75k exp per stack of shards.

You get a massive number of shards from DoL, and there are abilities to enhance this even. There's also (for a while longer anyway) the method of desynthing fishes to shards/crystals with alchemy. Desynthing malm kelp lets you profit 8 shards for every synth
I have noticed that my BTN and MNR get a lot of shards. Just not the kinds I need. I tend to get a lot of water.
Icdo recall a comm rep suggesting there'd be a way to target shards with equipment, but I haven't heard much since.
fish then use alchemy to turn the fish into shards. if your getting a lot of a type you don't need from mining, sell them and buy the one you do need
