how can i get a gathering of 530?

I am still using the crafted gears of i150 and using the i55 rings I have mostly use materia on them

my gathering is 589
and presc 632

i don't know what food is right for me but I can't obtain the gears and i still have trouble
what skills should i be using instead?

I do not know what you are asking. How to get a Gathering of 530 yet your Gathering is already 589?

The question is probably about collectability. The miner and botanist counterfoils require 530 collectibles to get.

I have 602 gath, 608 perc, 601 GP. This is with the ilvl 150 gear partially melded (adamantite tools, serpentskin/chimerical felt gear, dragonskin accessories.) I found it to be enough that I can get three lv59 blue scrip items or two lv60 red scrip items from each node.

I just use Discerning Eye -> Methodical Appraisal three times. That gets me close enough (~525) that I will occasionally get one high enough to trade for a counterfoil. The rest are traded for red scrip. I got enough counterfoils for all gear pieces long before I had enough scrip for Rowena's tokens.

If you want a sure way how to get that collectibility:

Discerning Eye - Methodical Appraisal 2x, Utmost Caution - Methodical Appraisal 2x

You will have only one gathering attempt though.

I use, DE - ME - DE - ME - UC - ME - UC - ME, collect 1. Costs 600 GP.

I can usually get 580ish collectability out of that, but unless you spawn the extra gathering attempt you only get one of these.
