Orchestron BMG vs other BMG

Orchestron BMG is too loud compared to other BMG, if i lower the BMG for the orchestron, as soon as we leave the FC estate, rest of the BMG is much lower due to it been lowered because of the orchestron BMG.

Hope that makes any sense O_o

I do not find this to be the case at all. In fact, I would argue that the volume coming from the Orchestrion is still *lower* than the default background music. The difference is not as bad as it was prior to the 3.3 patch, but it's still present.

Perhaps it depends on the song you're playing, as I've noticed some are more quiet than most. Perhaps you are running into one that is louder than most? Which song in particular are you playing?

Given that the devs have told us there is no way to make the Orchestrion into a full BGM replacement, could we get a separate volume switch for Orchestrion and BGM? It would go a long way to solving the issues people still have with it.

It's not dependent on the song, we had the same song playing before and after the maintenance and it was annoyingly louder, not just a bit, you could instantly tell the difference, all 44 rolls i have are loud.

Well, yes, that was part of the fix.. the volume issues for Ochestrion songs were addressed to bring them more in sync with the volume of normal zone music. Prior to the patch the Orchestrion songs were much, much quieter than the BGM (annoyingly so). I find them to be much more in sync with the BGM volume now

What I'm saying is that some songs sound louder than others. Or, to be more accurate, some songs may sound more loud than others because they sound more annoying than others.

When I got the World of Darkness songs when they first came out, it was so quiet that my FC thought the Orchestrion was bugged.

Sadly I completely dislike how SE has managed overall BMG volume in FF14. Area themes and orchestrion are so low that i have to rise the volume just to get a heart attack when approaching a FATE or general battle music, which are so loud it's almost unbearable. I've gotten now to have all BMG disabled which is a pity; there are so many beautiful themes which we could enjoy without interruptions and in our houses with the orchestrion, ruined by FATEs and battle music and poor volume control.
Would love to have the choice of battle music and FATE music to be disabled and control volumes of orchestrion and are music.
