Hullbreaker Isle HM Boss Notes

Server First! (probably)

A. Sanguine Sisters
- Basically a multiwave boss fight.
- Tons of AOEs, just need to dodge them all
- No notable mechanics

B. Ymir
- Lots of lightning based skills
- 2 main mechanics:
1. Tethers:
- AFAI can tell, break the tethers by moving apart, or suffer big damage.
2. Red targets:
- Targets 2 more more players with a red marker. After casting will do a single target lightning spell on the player, about 8k+ on a tank, more for everyone else.
- To dodge damage, step on a pool of water.

C. Slaf/Mistbeard
- While as Slaf will use WAR skills, when his first bar goes down will become Mistbeard and uses MCH skills.
- He hits hard and most of his AOE's cannot be dodged. Healers should be on their toes.
2 main mechanics:
1. Treasure Chests:
- Will summon chests around the platform, some will contain bombs, others will have heals. One chest per person, so avoid the bomb chests and get close to a heal chest. You will see the item enter the chest so pay attention.
2. Firesand Barrels:
- Plays exactly like the Lake Dungeon first boss. Knock the barrels to the sides before he blows them up.

With 2nd boss he'll cast ice spells on characters. Might be best move to sides as they have a big aoe when they explode

Slaf hits hard, but Mistbeard is a kitten. Our healer died with him at ~60% and we 3-manned him anyway, with me in noob i210 MNK mode to boot, and pretty much just winging the mechanics. He did do some kind of single target Heavy -> ground AoE combo that I assume should be Esuna'd, but our DRG just jumped out of it.

One note about the first boss: The coeurl add will fixate on the healer, so burn it down ASAP

It also weakens the healer's healing potency.
