All of the houses on Carbuncle except a couple L and M ones were gone in the first 5 minutes.

How the heck is there supposed to be enough houses for everyone?

If you want a living space, you should just get a personal room from your free company. It's bigger than the small houses and it costs a fraction of the price. That is of course assuming that you were going to buy the house for your character and not for a free company.

Every house on Gilgamesh was gone before I could even log in. Glad I got up at this ungodly hour to find out how completely unreasonable the housing situation is. So I guess the houses go to those with the fastest connection speed. Is there some good reason for denying housing to players who want it? I'm not aware of that in any other MMO.

Balmung had no housing left within 15-20 minutes, and a lot of us were locked out with an error/stuck in queue. This is what we get for being on a large server.. but it still leaves a bitter taste in the mouth!

There simply won't be enough houses for everyone. Not if they keep adding new wards at such a slow pace.

Lowering the prices was a foolish choice, too - I've no idea what made them think that was a smart decision, but unfortunately it's too late now and maybe after this patch SE might actually learn from this mistake?

EDIT: Yes, I was very surprised by the low price too. Why so low? People who want a house will save up lots of gil to buy one. But at such a low price, even people who didn't save could easily buy one.

I don't want just a personal room with my Free Company - I already have that. I want my own space I can decorate and play with and do whatever I want with.

It doesnt help they let people transfer to an already full world to this point also!

They should really adopt Black Deserts Phasing Housing. They're all out in the world, but phase to you when bought. With obvious changes to make it work, and the ability to set what you see by interacting with billboards when it comes to neighbors (or it taking it from your FC / Friends list). Would only need one ward then. Or build the next expansion upon the idea of world housing that phases.

All populated realms were gone in minutes -- even the 50,000,000 ones. Which, admittedly, 50 million isn't a lot. They should've increased large houses to 100 million and mediums to around 55-60.

Or, since so much FC things are tied to houses, never have allowed personal housing and released apartments sooner. It is also a severe waste of resources to give the small population realms and large ones the same amount of wards. Some realms still had houses open before this patch.
