Multiple support reply notices

When I report a RMT spambot, I get multiple notices that there is a reply to my report.

I go into the menu and open the replies and then the flashing message in the corner of my screen disappears, but minutes later I get the notification again as if I had never received it in the first place. And this happens again and again and again. Often I get notifications for hours. Once or twice I was still getting them two days later.

What is going on here and how can it be fixed?
