Fishing questions #2

I'm seeing some Reddit info and some timer info on XIVclock that are giving different input on fish so I need something cleared up.
Trying to catch Gigant Clams HQ for the Lucis, but the timer on the clock says 11 PM to 12 AM Eorzea time, while a Reddit thread I found says 11 PM to 2 AM, so did they shorten the window they're open for since then or what?


Also, why does Patience screw you over if it runs out while your line is out? You're supposed to balance either Precision or Powerful based on fish sizes(or controller vibration number for consoles and such too it seems), and I would have the 2 minute action wear out on me while reeling in a fish, and the fish automatically escapes, or I can no longer use Powerful Hookset when one is on my line, and then am forced to use regular Hook. And then I apparently still am suffering from the Inefficient Hooking status even though the effect is now gone so it gets away. This is a really annoying issue, if it's going to still penalize me with Inefficient Hooking even if it timed out, it should still let me use the Powerful/Precision actions for that last fish. Has anyone else seen this?

Also yea thats just how patience is atm, I dont remember if they said theyre gonna change it or not.

Wow so the XIVclock is literally incorrect for the window for the clam then cause it only shows it for one hour Eorzea time, I could have been catching more :(
Keeping that website now thank you.
Urgh cause it really needs to be adjusted somehow, you can't give us the negative effects of an ability after an ability has expired if we can't even use the positive sides to it.

Jinglybell has the right of it. And that website she posted is AMAZING!
I use both for fishing at the same time.
I'll try and leave a comment to the moderator on the innaccuracy of the gigant clam on ffxivclock.
