Constant crash after character select screen

Details:
Started happening right after patch 1.19a update. When loading character into game world. The program constantly crashes to desktop without error code with the exception of ffxiv has stopped working message box. Current character location is Ul'dah next to event NPC stand. On occasion the game will successfully load and will run fine if i do nothing. No character movement or changing of camera angles. I'm not sure if problem only occurs in Ul'dah.

Steps:
1. Log on.
2. Click on Play game.
3. Start.
4. Accept User agreement.
5. Select Character.
6. Game Loads.
7. ?????????
8. Game crashes to desktop.

Date & Time:
since 1.19a patch went live til today. Occasionally will run with no problems but eventually crashes.

Frequency:
Increased crash frequency after recent emergency maintenance. At this point, the game is currently inoperable.
