Fishing questions.

1. When are we getting aquarium furnishings that let us display fish in our house that we've caught/purchased?
2. Why is it when you fish up a map that you can't throw it back so it doesn't use up your daily allowance? I'm leveling FSH, everything else nearly to 60 besides ALC, fish up a useless Leather map that I can't even throw back and get something better on MIN/BTN later which are at 60?

1. There's no official word on it afaik besides the fact "they're looking into it". No guarantees it's ever gonna happen, let alone when.

2. That's cause your catch goes directly into your inventory, unlike btn/mnr, which is where the flag is set to. I don't know if it's an oversight or they just couldn't find a workaround that agreed with them but the only thing I can advise is try to keep an eye on your timers and get your map from other sources before you start fishing.

1. Well that's a shame feel like any game that has fishing should have decorations like that for housing.
2. It feels lazy to me though cause you can catch a fish and decide to keep it or throw it back, if I catch a map I don't want, throw it back and my timer stays the same, keep it, it resets. Idk why that isn't a thing this far into the game, this seems like a pretty important QoL issue for Fishing.

1. No argument there. It'd give me a reason to go back and try to catch that elusive Sawfish again xD
It's actually getting suggested on a regular basis so I have hopes we might see it someday.

2. For that to happen they'd need to overhaul the whole system on how the timer works. There's no easy panacea to fix it without altering stuff from a programming PoV. Unless they put a confirmation message after every catch, map or not, like they do with collectables. But that's gonna annoy us even more in the end lol

this

also there is only one specific type of map in each fishing spot. in the upper thaliak river you will never fish any other map than a wyvern skin for example.

so it is NOT random wich map you will get and you can completely prevent getting maps.
