Lord of Verminion: Gates and Shields not taking damage

Problem: The gates and shields of the enemy npc will not take damage even if they do not have minions standing in the area to protect them.
Steps to recreate bug:
1. I choose master battle >extreme in the verminion area of the gold saucer
2. At the start I summon 5 minion of light (fighter) in gate A and one fat cat in gate C
3. Once the game starts I move the minions of light to the enemy crystal adjacent to gate A and the fat cat to the enemies shield.
4. I summon 4 Wind-up Odin in gate B
5. I move the first two wind-up Odin to enemy gate C and the next two wind-up Odins to Enemy gate A.
