4 DPS vs 4 DPS (PVP) The Feast

Currently the wait time for PvP if you're a DPS (Especially ranged DPS) is just crazy.
So how about addind a Feast 4 v 4 DPS only, no healer, no tank.
I'm pretty sure that would alleviate the wait time for almost everyone and also give a chance to people to actually queue for PvP without having to wait 2 hours in queue.

Or add more incentive to queue as a healer/tank...

Terrible ideia....

Just Make Cross Data Centers and Update ranking pontuation system... Right now, when U get to a high rank u simply stop playing cause you dont want to have a losing streak and end up with your rank downgraded...

Except no one wants to play as tank or healer, let the people play their DPS class, won't be unfair since it'll only be DPS.
It's wrong to try forcing people to play a class they don't want to play.

No one wants to play healer? U W0T M8?!?!

Heh, I could easily see this becoming the most popular mode and not because of queue times. Healing is not a very fun mechanic to fight, which is why it's very sparsely used in PvE encounters.

Though the better idea would be to simply drop the hard role enforcement and instead, make a match with any mirrored role setup. 4 melee DPS vs 4 melee DPS, 1 Healer + 3 ranged DPS vs 1 Healer + 3 ranged DPS etc. That way, you don't exclude healers and tanks from the queue, but you still allow for faster games if there's a surplus of DPS.

I want to play as a healer! It's just kind of miserable because a large % of your losses are either getting outRNG'd healing through burst, or games you never could have won because you don't contribute kill pressure. FFXIV is not designed for game modes where the main objective is to kill the enemy healer.

There's good reason why SE made tank specific mounts. Because there's a lack of tanks in general PVE.

They could easily do something similar for heals/tanks in pvp.

I'd consider learning healer for pvp if there was some sort of incentive to do so.

But why should I if I can get the same rewards that I'm getting as a job I'm comfortable with (that being a dps)?

Dunno bout 4v4 but 2v2 without job restrictions could be cool, i would instanty run a WAR+PLD comp as they got pretty damn nice synegry in small scale battles.

2v2 would be a dream come true, and it'd certainly allow for more balancing possibilities. We're Warriors of Light, a team of 4. But really, it only takes two to tango.
