which job does more dps blm or drg

i main a drk but want a secondary dps class. deciding between drg and blm. which does more dps

updates can either nerf or buff classes so there isnt one for certain.

Solo on a dummy i would say BLM.
But in a real fight all comes down to the mechanics and the players skill in the job.

Just go BLM. Better AoE, better single target, no penalty for switching target and better sustain unless a fight has a lot of movements.

Yeah it all depends on fight. Lots of movement required then DRG FTW.

I haven't leveled a Black Mage high enough yet, but it always looks like Black Mage gets the next most aggro after tanks when I fight as Dragoon, Ninja or Tank, so that tells me it's Black Mage.

Can always DPS despite movement mecanic (because a skilled Blm is always pre-positionned)

Plus good group support (virus, physic, EfoE, Apokatastasis)

Both are great classes and both have its con and pro's. I play DRG over BLM because I simply stopped BLM. I loved playing it before but I also love DRG. If you love to be a melee stick to DRG. If you love a bit more challenge, meaning casting your spells and while you need to move, go for BLM. BLM is nice in both burst and aoe, while DRG has the highest burst of all the melee's.
DRG gives more DPS to bards 10% more. While BLM has nerfed virus which means this only applies to physical dmg, eye for eye is good and apokatastsis which is amazing for magical damage.

Try them both out and see what you like the most. Don't go for a class because 1 has higher dps than the other, they are both very good. Playstyle is a bit different as you know, melee vs caster. Good luck choosing :).

Because of this, I'd recommend picking the one you like the best and stick with it. :)
