Could we please get a male faerie for Scholar?

Today someone asked me if there were any male faeries in the game, and while I told them no to the best of my knowledge (I'm still leveling SCH) I thought it was nice idea. They could give it to us as a third faerie through the Summon III ability (although I'll not try to suggest what role a third faerie should fill). Or I figured you could possibly make it work through the "Egi Glamour" system that's currently in the works for Summoner.

Either way would be fine with me. As much as I love Eos and Selene, I just thought it might be nice to have a male faerie option as well. Perhaps he could be named Helios, since he was the brother of Selene and Eos in Greek mythology. What do you all think? Anyone else like this idea?

I've kind of -embraced- the fact that my fairies will be really feminine.

It's a good thought, though I'd doubt they'd name him Helios as that's the Astrologians AOE heal :P

There's only one faerie a scholar has. Lily. Lily has two sides if the coin to her, like day and night.
So it's not as if there's a reason (yet) a male-like faerie would appear.

Well there is a male god for dusk i think, Selene is the moon goddess while Eos is the goddess of the dawn, maybe in 4.0 we'll get a male who switches from Helios to the dusk god

note: that Astraeus is not a god he is a titan so is selene Eos and helios please do some info searching before u type things

Another Glamour thread focusing on Carbuncles in Response to the Egi-System

What kills me is when people bring up that Lilly can only appear one way. Fairies are very sensitive with illusion magic (Think of why they are able to see through and Dispel the Magic of the Demon in the level 60 SCH quest.)

Also, fairies are aether made form; we could change their shape at will. On top of that, Astral and Umbral Magic, which eos and selene are composed of, can easily fit in the shadows and light, smoke and mirrors concept.

If SE wants to give it to us, they have lots of lore based venues to go with.

My overall desire is:
ACNs all get Carby Glamours (SCH, SMN, ACN) since this is unlikely to add much strain to the developers.
SMN has all of their Glamours released over the course of a few patches
Lilly is given color palette options after the last SMN glamour is released.
Then the Developing team can decide if alternative fairy glamours would be possible.

Off-topic but you're mostly right. Astraeus and so is Helios. Eos... is a weird case. I found that she was described as both a Titan and the goddess of dawn. Selene, however, was a daughter of a Titan, not one herself. Instead Selene actually was the goddess of the moon.
