Suggestion: gathering/crafting fates?

I think it'd be cool if we had FATEs for gatherers and crafters.

I figure they'd be visible if you were set as a non-combat job, due to spam, but I think it could be fun. I can't say I can think up 50 different FATEs but I think there's enough items out there to encourage the playstyle.

Harvesting wheat before the rats get into it for winter

A gold rush has started as a new vein is struck

Local festivals need banners for ornaments.

Salmon spawning season or such.

Just that sort of stuff. It'd sure take something out of the monotony of grinding lvls.


Both types of fates would work like gathering leves, where you gain pts due to proper completion. There'd be no items produced or gathered by themselves, but the FATEs could offer useful items for rewards, like perhaps scrip, depending on the level.

Interesting idea. Maybe have something like what Runescape has, projects that require multiple people to complete.

• Repairing/restocking siege weapons
• Rebuilding castle walls
• Helping the innkeeper make liquor, due to the bar suddenly becoming crowded.

Some other ideas I can think of.

I just want a new tribe with daily quests like the Ixal ones, encompassing both DOL and DOH, which provides the crafting materials you need as quest items and rewards blue/red scrips.

I support this idea, it would be fun to do things in a group with other crafters and gatherers.
