Let Us Freely Dye P9 (+Rank 50?) Chocobos

I understand the RNG of getting chocobo colors when breeding, and what you buy from the shop, but I think once you reach the "end" and achieved max pedigree and MAYBE max rank you should be able to get "rewarded" with the option of being able to dye that chocobo whatever color you want with the same mechanics as companion chocobos.

Because inbreeding is the only true way to get a reasonably maxed chocobo, the color is more or less locked in since you will no longer start to buy chocobos from the shop. My chocobos now are basically stuck at "Rose Pink" because it was the color I ended up at with my best chocobo AND when I restarted with inbreeding, it was the one I kept getting out of fledglings even when buying the shop chocobos (50/50 chance).

My only option now is to buy more shop chocobos which will dilute the stats I've built from inbreeding already when I basically already restarted once.

Now besides all that, allowing us to go through the dyeing process with our racing chocobos will also partially stimulate the chocobo feed economy....maybe?

I'm not to this point yet.. But I do agree that once we essentially get that "perfect" chocobo, we should be able to make it the color we desire instead of leaving it up to fate and the RNG gods.

Not sure I agree with this, but I admit it might be because I already went through the pain of repairing my bloodlines after breeding in the color I wanted. It took a fair bit of effort, but now that it's easy to level up chocobos, it might be considered part of the journey.

I mean, in reality once you get your 'Max Bo', isn't name, color, and matching outfit the true endgame?

Queue every single P9 being a Gold Chocobo.

I don't mind either way, I wouldn't use it, but what other people do with their chocobos is up to them.

i'd be ok with this. The randomness is rather annoying.
