I want my crafting abilities to work like battle abilities

I've earned and used my guild marks to learn crafting abilities. So why when I synthesize, do I only have a choice of 2-3 of the 5 I have assigned? I should be able to choose which one I want when I want it.

Let's say I have Preserve, Maker's Muse, Fulfillment, and Harmonize assigned to my trait bar. I sit down to synth and one time I can choose from Fulfillment or Maker's Muse. What? I have all on my trait bar, so why can't I choose from those 4?

Yes, go ahead and put a recast timer on it. That's fine. But if I have the knowledge, I should be the one deciding when to use what ability, not have it be randomly decided by the game.

Make it like the battle traits. I assign those and can use whichever one I want when I want, as long as I have the necessary TP or the timer has cooled down.

Crafting should be the same.

Recast timer on crafting ability and being able to choose to use any of them at any time sounds great!
