Have any of you noticed that when you place your single-target card buffs on a party member, they have this little animation that happens on them with the corresponding element (e.g. placing The Balance on a DPS and they have a fire animation on them) except for The Bole where the animation always happens on yourself, even if you placed it on the tank or a DPS?
I'm asking to see if this is just an error on my end, or if that this is something that needs to be addressed as a whole?
I remember seeing another thread a while a go about this same thing. I cant remember if it was in the bug reports or not. But others have noticed this as well :).
I have seen this too when I play with Astrologian, but it doesn't seem that important compared to other bugs that this game has.
Lol sure u not throwing it on a black mage with astral fire on xD?
Iv played AST on release and iv never notice any animation when throwing cards on members alll u see it a quick spiral when throwing it on players and that is it....
Though i wish when throwing cards on players that they glow in color... Or have card hover above them with a ray of light or stars twinkle on them so they atless know they have a card buff on them
Many many many times i have thrown cards out to jobs and some dont know what to do with it.... Especially spear >.>
Also there is a bug with scholar/smn... If u throw spear on them... It does not effect there pet cooldowns.... U have to throw ur spear on pet to reduce the pet cooldowns which is a pain in the ass
Each AST card feature a double of the Twelve in it. The cards pair together the two Umbral and Astral faces of the element on them. So technically each card has their own element. Balance for example feature Nald'thal and Azeyma, deities of Fire; Ewer feature Nymeia and Thaliak, deities of Water; Bole has the deities of Earth Nophica and Althyk; Spear is the card of Ice having Halone and Menphina in it; Arrow is Wind, featuring Llymlaen and Oschon and last and least Spire being Thunder with Byregot and Rhalgr. If you check the higher resolution image for the cards you can clearly see the Twelve symbols and signature items in it. They also have an elemental animation on the card sprite when you Draw it.
Bole particles do seem to be broken! Seems that the they split, the aura envelops the target but the little rocks doesn't and instead they envolop you. This should be reported somewhere else.
Just a Trivia: a lot of skills, spells and abilities in game behave like that, showing off the element they are aspected to. Ever noticed on BLM the color around your character when you cast your Fire, Ice and Thunder aspected spells? You can see the same for Stone and Aero on WHM. Not only that but most healing spells are wind aspected (showing the same green as aero) and Esuna-like spells seems to be water aspected. But thats mostly a lore-wise cosmetic. AST spells seems to be unaspected though.
