Search Function... and others

:DMost part of an MMO is intel about your fellow players/ adventurers. If they have no way of telling you where they are, what they're doing and how to reach them, then what's the point of the user interface and search function as it stands now?

The UI seems to have much of the things we can do without and lack components that we need... like a bathroom with no towels- but it has an electric drier! What good will that do when you get out of the shower?? Anyways... bad example,lol!

If it isn't broken why fix it, I know the FFXIV team isn't the same as that of FFXI but please do it better and NOT different. It's a suggestion not a demand, a humble request that among many things FFXIV has to offer, it still lacks obvious, simple minded and user friendly interface. I can do with out a nanny holding my hand throughout a quest and pin-point where I have to go next and my gosh, when before being assigned a mission- do the NPCs talk a LOT (though I wish I can shut them up in mid-conversation)!

If the job system taking ffxiv by storm, why not just brink in the old fashion search function and the commands as well. The fact that the MMO has changed from interesting to plain generic and typical doesn't bother me as much until I start seeing other MMOs mirroring old ideas.

That's something that was used in other MMOs but it currently worked well for me and it wasn't possible in FFXI. The possibility to customize your character the way you wanted was a great idea and you took it away! That's the reason I bought FFXIV, I bought in to your new ideas and innovation. Bring it back please.

By the way, new quest and dungeons are great but it still hard to find help due to the problems with search functions and search comments. Like I said before, if it ain't broken don't fix it. This FFXIV system need a overhaul on the UI and people need to come closer together easier.

Thanks for you reviewing my suggestions and I hope this new world of Final Fantasy opens up to simple commands rather than "Windows-like widgets and graphics". So far that's the only improvements to the Final Fantasy MMO.

PS: Can it be possible to toggle some widgets invisible or hide then so they don't clutter up my screen? That's the last one... seriously, thank you! :o
