Purify not working against Sleep

Hey guys, starting to get a little frustrated in PvP against sleep. Now, don't get me wrong, I don't dislike the spell sleep, and I certainly have no problem with it existing. What I do have a problem with is the Whm version repose, every time it hits me, and I cast purify it does not work. The 15 second sleep just stays in effect and my Purify goes on cd. Now, in 4v4 this basically means my team is dead, because i'm locked in 30s sleep and I cannot even break it because my Purify will not work.

Is this a bug? It works on Blm sleep, but never on whm.

Without actually seeing the instance this occurred, I can only surmise you are being knock back, hard cast repose, and then swift cast repose.

Short answer: works just fine pour moi. Easy way to check would be the timer on sleep. The second cast would only be 12 seconds, so if you'd know if purify removed the first cast.

Here's one of the many clips where this has happened. We're winning this game by a fair margin, I get slept...I stall for a couple seconds in case I get broken out, I see I'm not targetted anymore, so I cast Purify at about 12-13 seconds left on Sleep. It does NOT get cast again, as you can clearly see there is no new spells cast on me. The Purify goes on cooldown, but the sleep stays in effect. My tank is then killed and we lose this game. This has happened to me in several games, almost every loss is because of some bugged out purify against a Whm. I'm really getting tired of it.

It didn't work because you cast it on the warrior you had targetted. Purify can be used on team mates as well.

It's okay. It didn't originally work like that and I think they haven't updated the tooltip yet. I wouldn't say you were being bad since this is actually a pretty common thing I see happen to people . You're welcome for the help though. You're not the first person to come here thinking it didn't work when a teammate is targetted.

Yeah, I've done that too in a pinch. Don't worry about it just watch where you're aiming it. :p

This will explain why some people straight up tell me, "my purify can only be cast on self". I just go quiet after that and play the rest of the match. But now I will reply with. "They changed it! They changed it for meeeeeeeeeee"

Your not the only one who doesn't know about it, I played over 300 matches and just learn it in a pvp feast premade, when a dps mentioned they will save their purify for the healer just in case? Then I ask and they told me about its uses.
