Brick wall for Solo Queue rating?

At the moment I am having queue times spanning 40 mins to over an hour for Solo Queue feast. Over a 7 hour period today I got into 5 games total and its becoming increasingly difficult to progress any further. Has anyone actually reached platinum rank in solo queue or are others encountering similar issues?

I'd imagine a lot of people arent going to play much when this set of rankings only lasts 2 weeks til season 1 with only 1 week of that remaining

^^ I got up to Bronze just to show up on the rankings; since then I've been coasting with FC/LS mates in 8v8 to get my fix.

Your definitely correct in that, I'm playing it a lot currently because I enjoy the rating progression (even though it means nothing right now) and its kind of disappointing that I wont ever reach the next rank. I was having similar issues before the recent rank reset as well, I just fear that even when the season starts it will eventually become unplayable again.

I hate to say this, but I've been avoiding it because of the tome farmers. The very first night of the reset, I saw four postings in the PF for it. That kind of killed my drive a little, because I'm terrified I'll end up in a endless set of matches in which I constantly lose. It happened to me several times in Secure in the past and totally destroyed my winning record; so, I decided to avoid queuing until the Relic rush blew over. I'm almost done mine by simply running roulette's, so I'm hoping that the farmers will have lessened a little after the next maintenance patch ... Maybe ... I can hope.

I can mirror this as the same reason I've been trying to avoid solo queue 4v4 for now. Too many people losing on purpose atm.

That and some people might actually be scared to step in there and get a farmer in their party...

Personally I haven't played all that much 4v4 since the reset because this "season" will be very short so there isn't much point in it. I have been doing Seize and 8v8 a lot though. I'm currently 1 win away from the silver qualifiers on 4v4 solo.

I just know that as soon as I step in there again I'll get bot/farmer healers in a row and drop back down to bellow 400 again! I have come to know this phenomenon as "Bronze Limbo" or "The Cancer Zone".

RNGesus doesn't like me :(
