Piety Stats

As I understood from last Live Letter, Square want to remove Piety Stats from the game because a little "useless". Well as main WHM I can say that's not true. My main build is DET-Piety and I love do this. I'd like to know if I just missunderstand or Square want really remove that... because if its true, well, I'm just saying.. dont remove it.
I dont want to see FF XIV like World of Warcraft that every single Class have the same MP and only the use of it will decide the "skill" of the player.

I don't remember this being mentioned in the live letter. Though I've been known to overlook things from time to time. Care to show me where piety was said to be considered for removal?

I think you're confusing Piety with Parry. SE talked about reworking Parry a bit (not removing it). They didn't mention Piety at all.

As I read now (better then before XD) I guess they are talking about the Bonus Party Buff.

removing the bonus party buff for piety would just be another nerf for whm... is ast btw stronger than whm now? ast got so many buffs and whm so many nerfs...

It was said that it was sooooo unfair for the whm to be the only one giving mind party bonus while AST and SCH give piety bonus
But when you look, piety is useless on both AST and SCH, while it is for whm.

In my opinion, AST have become the best heal by far. The SCH being an excellent co-heal if not in à double AST combi.
And whm is the last healer for me, slow, burning mana, no shield... But strong heal !

I don't mind the removal of piety bonus for an all mind bonus.

And I would love mooooore :
Piety as a REAL secondary stat so we can really meld it ! It's a primary stat used as à secondary... Why ?!
Or put it in EVERY stuff like vitality and mind !

As WHM I love PIE and I dont want a real Nerf. Between all 3 healers I absolutly prefer White Mage.. I feel safer xD
I can undestand if the can remove it from Bonus PT because its just like 3% more MP on all PT.. but just the WHM can really being "happy" for that. Other jobs not so much. I guess more % in MND points can be appreciated.

BLM are happy too. and bards can play their songs a little longer what makes the BLM even happier xD

BLM like PIE. There are some breakpoints (284, 310) where it makes it so there's no waiting on an mp tick (up to 3s) to cast Thunder or Blizzard IV in the normal rotation. And there's a breakpoint for 6 F4 opener (264) that only Dunsefolk Lalafell meet without the PIE party buff, although there are modifications to the opener that can get around that need for a few extra PIE for non-potato races
