Link system broken

Ok so i was in a 3 man party chaining on antling diggers in hatali, the jobs are as follows, 38 Cnj, 40 Arc, 39 Arc. Well we were doing well and mobs were again antlings lvl 40 to 43 and we were getting links but 2 antlings for the most part and chaining and it was great until a 41 antling linked with a lvl 79 drake. 0.o Now is this supposed to happen, I think the link system needs some more work. What do yall think and Devs can I get a comment on this please.

I saw they're revising the link system and that they're likely to limit the link system to just the same species only. But I can't remember where I read this.
