I joined maelstorm.
If i get items that are better then maelstorm gear can i glamour them to the appearance of maelstorm gear ?

In regard to cross-class abilities, they are unfortunately a left-over concept from 1.0 (before A Realm Reborn). It functions fine the way that it is, but it doesn't provide the customization options that it seems to portray. Acquiring your job is an evolution of the base class. Your role becomes more specialized and focused, and you gain job-specific abilities. -

1. Jobs are further thrown into their respective roles. This is why slots are reduced, and only certain cross skills are allowed. IOW, no flash casting white mages.
2. Oh, and that NPC is a jerk too isn't he? Take the gil rewards from quests until your retainers are unlocked, unless the gear is something you can use. Don't worry. You'll get to play the market board soon enough!
3. There is no reason for you to travel to the others cities until you hit that level anyway. In the meantime, there is PLENTY for you to do in your starting city and connected areas even after lv15.
4. At my level and with two retainers, I am nowhere near to having my inventory and armory maxed out. Figure out what to keep and what to sell to keep your space consumption minimal.
5. Most of us do spend hours modifiying it lol.
6. While true, I assure you that you will find gear that you love wearing during your adventures!
