Anima Weapons. Putting things into perspective.
Taking WHM weapon as an example, but it's really all the same:
Seraph Cane (Item Level 210) requires:
• Antiquated Seraph Cane - 490 Esoterics
• Illuminati Gobdip - One run of Void Ark for a Mhachi Farthing
* Can be earned in a leisurely afternoon
Majestas (Item Level 210) requires:
• Seraph Cane Awoken - Grinding of various lengths depending on whether you had a Zodiac Zeta or not
• 16 expensive crafted items - Average of 1 million gil for the whole set on Masamune (MUCH more expensive on most other servers)
• 80 Unidentified items - 27,200 Esoterics and 27,200 Poetics, or around 700 runs of Alexander Gordias, or other equally grindy methods
* Still nowhere near it after several months.
Twenty-seven thousand two hundred Esoterics. And that's only half of it, sorry, half of ONE PART of it.
Let that sink in for a while.

OK. Why the hell hasn't this been eased with the addition of a new stage?
You could have made this more accessible by ANY (or several) of these methods:
- Reducing the number of Unidentified items required for the quest items (down from 20 each)
- Reducing costs of Unidentified items from shops (Allied Seals, Esoterics, Poetics, beast tribe currencies)
- Reducing the number of Precision Gordian Parts required to obtain Unidentified items, or increasing the drop rate of Precision Gordian Parts.
- Increasing the drop rate of Unidentified items from maps
- Reducing the amount of crafted items required for trade-in
- Improving the availability of ingredients used in the crafted items
- Lifting the HQ requirement for crafted items.
Someone needs to answer for this.
