[dev1068] Melding materia: remove trading

Right now to meld materia if you dont have the right DOH leveled up you have to hand over your gear and your materia to another player. This requires alot of trust between the players especially when the gear and materia can sell for large sums of gill. The other player could easily just walk off with your items leaving the player with the only option of calling a gm and wasting their time with the issue. I've also seen a fair few mistakes made by crafters melding the wrong materia because they cant remember what materia was traded when they come to look for it in the inventory. When we have a repair system that doesnt require handing over materials to another player could we please have a melding system that doesnt either.

It seems strange that they wouldn't have made this an option.
I wonder how many GM calls have happened based on this. That would be interesting to find out.

Also, since GMs have no power (or have no regulation) to settle personal dispute between players, including scam/steal cases, an adaptation of the Seek Repair system into Materia attachment craft should be brought into consideration. It would solve/prevent a lot of troubles.

This is very reasonable and I support this. Having others socket materia for you also requires repairing for 100% before trading, which is mostly just annoying.

I approve of a Materia Craft option in your inventory that allows you to place the item and the materia on your bazaar.

Currently, the hottest items on the market are Heaven's Eye and Heaven's Fist materia (Accuracy and Attack Power, respectively) which have been selling for over 500,000 gil in Besaid.

Definitely agree with this, and it has been mentioned before, just had a scroll through the Dev Tracker as I was sure of it...

I haven't had any Materia yet due to the hassle of that, and my worry that something might go 'wrong' - fortunately I'm not in a position were that effects anyone but me either!

Yoshi has seen this issue brought up by players and agrees that this is needed. Hopefully he manages to implement this soon.
