About PF and ex seph

right now im almost 57 and i check how is my server with raiding by looking at PF and i gotta admit, theres a lot of partys farming it. But my question is, are most of the PF successful doing it? i wish i could tell but atm im not even 60 but i want to try it so bad. (going to try to get a static but want to learn fights before doing so)

Haha, no. Most of the "farms" you'll see will wipe repeatedly to 1st phase or adds till someone ragequits.

damn thats sad :( how im suppost to get more geared if i cant find a static at that lvl cuz of my timezone :(

I recommend starting your own learning party or joining a fresh learning party. Avoid farm and clear parties like the plague until you can do the fight it your sleep. And have a lot of patience. You will be wiping a lot as people learn the mechanics. The biggest factors in success for this fight in my opinion are patience and good attitude. A static of people who are new like you may be an excellent way to start because you can be sure everyone is at the same stage of learning. It's a very tightly choreographed fight so voice chat also helps a lot. One person dieing can wipe the entire party very easily especially if they are a tank or healer.

^^^^^^ All the this. Even learning runs are usually useless once you have the first phase down.

My philosophy with this fight: Titan EX wasn't (and sometimes still isn't, sadly) usually clearable with PF. Thordan EX wasn't usually clearable with PF. And since the guy who designed those two fights designed Sephirot EX, I don't expect that to be clearable with PF either. Least not for a looooooooooong time.

You really don't need SephEX to get geared. If you're doing Midas 4 normal every week, you'll be getting these special gears, which, when you have 7, can be traded in for a special tomestone, and, when you have 10 of the tokens (= 1000 Tomes of Lore) required to purchase it, can be used to get your i230 Lore weapon. 7 weeks is too long for some people, and/or they want to jump into Savage immediately, so they rush to get the fastest higher ilvl weapon they can, which is SephEX atm. If it won't kill you to wait, you can get an even better weapon a month and half after 3.2 release by default if you're keeping up with your weekly business. ;P

thanks for replying, well my issue is that i like to raid, i mean if i dont like crafting and dont have a static (due to time) whats the point in playing just to do dailies? pvp takes forever to que in.

Pvp queue times for the feast are under 5 minutes for all roles atm.

yes but im not 60 so i dont get the goodies atm i roll for frontline while i get to 60. literally i went to the gym, came back to cook, had lunch and still in que

And sadly, endgame raiding in this game is based primarily around having a static to run the tough stuff with. :/ I'm kind of in the same boat, only I just recently found another static to run stuff with. (Two actually, but one is really disorganized atm. ;; )

You don't have to JUST do dailies. You can work on capping Tomes every week. Or farming birds. Or... stuff. ;; Yeah... it can get boring if they only thing you enjoy doing is raiding. I've been there, done that. (I'm trying to find enjoyment in crafting because monies. But it's very difficult. ;;;; )

What I would do is keep posting in your world's forum, on Reddit, and putting notices in your PF to see if you can get a bite for a static that can accommodate your time zone. From what I've heard, Leviathan is one of the bigger raid worlds on the Primal data center, so hopefully there's at least one group that can work. (And if not, you can always try forming your own.) If nothing works in that department or you've already tried all that and don't wanna keep going at it, you could consider looking for groups outside of Leviathan, if transferring is at all an option.
