Can somoene teach me how to smn in pvp.

I just unlocked smn 60 used my blm gear to bring it to 218, I looked over the smn guide.

But for pvp I am sure there is a better way.

Some basic idea would be nice.
I assume were mainly trying to get deathflare out?

8 on 8 isn't so bad I can get it out but 4 on 4 I'm getting killed before I ca do anything

So basically what I've gathered so far is, you want to burst your target.

Which means atm for me, have an aether flow stack of three up and one more rdy to go.
Then Tidisaster>Painflare>Fester>Bane>aetherstacks refilled>pain fester again or something like that

Sounds about right. This is the main reason SMN are the first target and why healers need to watch them closely.

Usually dps get killed is some healer's fault IMO. But for SMN I think what to do is annoy healer/caster's cast by spam ruin 2? correct me if I'm wrong

Not entirely, if the dps LoS's the healer, or if they don't purify their own Vul. debuff, it makes it very hard for a healer to heal through. Also ranged dps need to kite, if they get 3 people on them hitting them they are going down, fast.

If the healer CAN heal through it, they'll end up draining their mana faster than the other healer, and come culling time... the other healer would have the advantage

Yeah it is the main reason why playing healer sucks. Even you or your team mates can use blind/sleep/stun/silence/bind/heavy/interrupt casters casts by reducing damage. Or if you are tank, you can use clemency/cover or damage reduction/hp buff on your team mate help him survive, but why bother because it is always healers fault if somebody die. Blame the healer if something goes wrong. Healer is supposed to carry whole group for the win.

I'm new to PvP and as a WHM it can be quite stressful. Thankfully no one has given me grief yet, but it gets kind of disheartening doing all you can and either you get burned down or everyone else goes all over the place and then you lose.
