Why does the new ilvl205 gear materia along with i assume the rest of the pvp gear materia not work in the new pvp zone? Why does everything sync to 150 making morale useless? What was the point in making a new tier is everything does go to 150? What is the point of morale i am not understanding its purpose in today's pvp.
The only 'point' to new tiers of gear, at this time, is to give you more options if you want a particular secondary stat loadout in that slot. The i180 PvP head for instance, is the only aiming-type piece in the game above >i150 that has crit/det, so if you were a BRD or MCH you would have been very glad when that tier was released.
Morale is currently a nigh useless stat, but that has upsides as well as downsides. On one hand there isn't really gear progression in the typical sense, but on the other it means you can customize your secondary stat loadout to your heart's content since any gear above i150 is generally fair game.
You might end up kicking yourself for vendoring those random green dungeon drops from expert roulettes because, as it turns out, some of them are the only items in that slot with a particular combination of secondary stats.
