Idea for a good Mentor System:

Here is how it works:
- Group with player.
- Right click player.
- Click "Mentor" - They earn 25% more experience and you earn experience close to your level. You become their level and are set to their level until they level up. You level up with them and can even que for dungeons with them.

You must be at least '1' level over to mentor someone. Your stats also take a hit just like the dungeon's sync system.


Simple. Efficient. Good.

I don't see why there has to be such a complicated system for abuse for new players.

How exactly is giving them/you an xp boost mentoring? Do you know what the word means?

just to make sure im understanding this part, do you mean you would earn exp comparable to a higher level dungeon from a lower level if you were using mentor?

"Hey friend who knows what they are doing and are levelling classes. Would you like to become my 'mentor' so we can both get faster xp"

Your teaching them how to play, and are getting a reward for it. Why not have an experience boost so its used a bit more for other means as well?

No, perhaps at a 25-50% less rate. So if high level dungeons got 1000 XP. The lower level ones mentored would give you 500-750. It would just be another way to level yourself.

Creating more interaction between players is bad? Honestly I would of loved getting help when I started the game, but I was told to "do everything solo".

Where in your post does it say anything about a) teaching people or b) even knowing how to teach people?

Its not so much creating more player interaction. The majority of people would use it as queuing up with a friend (with whoevers higher syncing) and thats it.

There would be no mentoring there at all, may as well just call it something different at that rate, like a friend bonus or something.

Teaching person starts with a system that involves high level players associating with low level players. Currently there is no reason to.
