Is diadem completely dead now?

hi guys, So basically as the titles states is diadem dead now? With all the new 220+ goodies out from lore and midas what is the point if any to do diadem? Unless I missing something that diadem offers besides melds.

On my server it's basically dead.

I've seen a few (maybe 3 or 4 total since 3.2 hit, and actually only 1 or 2 for a couple weeks before 3.2 hit)

It's really great to farm to get materia, and for those who haven't gotten the Pegasus but....yeah..

It's dead at least on my server.
Or if not dead it's hanging on its last limb

It's dead if you're trying to do it from DF. Set up or join a PF and you should be able to do it. And yeah, nowadays Diadem isn't done for the same reasons, it's simply to faceroll as much as possible to get V materia.

I just very rarely see any groups for it in PF ever anymore

It's an hour + queue on Gilgamesh.

Very rarely do I see PF looking for Diadem runs. Since we have gear higher than 210 now and Void Ark made it easy to upgrade Esoteric gear, there's little reason to run Diadem.

I still see a few PFs for it. Bird and SephirotEX farms are more common atm though.

I think we'll see more Diadem farms as people get higher tier gear and need good materia to meld it. I know I'm slotting tier IV's until I actually get my gear upgraded because I'd rather not spend millions on materia I'm going to lose after I upgrade anyway.

Really? in 1 hour in diadem i got only 17 tokens and we spread them out for a party of 8. That's not a goldmine for materia lvl 5.
