Linking 1.0 Account From Gamestop

So I played FF14 back in 1.0 and I can't remember for how long exactly. I've tried linking my account before but its always been kind of confusing because of how I purchased it.

I purchased 1.0 through the GameStop PC Download App back in 2011 and when I try copying in my Product code, it doesn't match Square Enix format what so ever.

Has anyway that purchased 1.0 through the GameStop App registered 1.0?

Do you mean the registration failed back in 2011 or now?
Every registered 1.0 account became automatic a ARR account during ARR open beta.

Did you register the code and create a account during 1.0? If so they were automatically transferred to 2.0 and you log in with the account you created, otherwise if you didn't your 1.0 code is no longer valid and would have to buy 2.0

1.0 codes should be valid, the code the OP is using might be a SE Members code which just adds the game to your profile.

You don't need to use your 1.0 product key if you've already played it, even during the free time.
It just works. Log into the mogstation using your old SE account and you'll see you have the game registered. Just add some game time and away you go!
