Question, can you get the required control/craftsmanship with just the 180 red script gear?
I don't really want to make the 170 gear and spend millions on melds. Its much easier to just get the 180 sets. Got a ton of red scripts sitting around cause I didn't spend them on anything like 99 or so tokens.
Yes, with your Soul of <X> and using HQ Beet Soup as food. See here. But note that you have much less CP than most rotations in use for 2- or 3-star require, and therefore may find it difficult to craft HQ. If you just want to do glamour items, tho, youa re fine.
Why is it that much less cp a lot of the 180 stuff has cp on it already. Now that I check I have 150 red script tokens, most of the red scrip main hands already. Looks like they added offhands should i buy those first then. Mainly doing this so I can make rings for raiding.

There's no way around melded crafting Gear, if you seriously wanna attempt 3* HQ crafts. Thoy ou dont need entirely crafted gear. basically you can go left side fully red script gear, while having crafted 170 jewelery fully melded. Good thing bout is, that all your crafters share the jewelery and you just red the left side for red scripts. You can get multiple classes like this 3* ready. Obviously seafood is needed.
In fact, you dont need fully melded jewelery either. Max 4 Slots are fine, with the use of FC buffs, you might be even able to go with 3 melds max on a few jewelery.
3* isnt ment to be easy so everyone can just do it. U always need to pay something first before you can make money with it :p
