Abuse of the( backslash E m command)

Dear FINAL FANTASY makers I have been watching and seeing with disturbing results about the unfiltered unrestricted unedited ability to create your own personal emote which can well be nothing short of graphic putting it lightly to are underage players in this game I asked the development team please remove this system because it is increasingly getting more graphic each day

So you believe the chat box should be removed? If people are breaking the rules then submit a report. Taking away /em won't stop people from saying what they want in /s or /y or whatever.

I can guarantee more people use /em properly than people who don't. You don't punish the many over the acts of the few. That'd be like banning pencils in a school because someone got stabbed with one.

No what I am saying is the fact that the ability to create your own personal emotion in the game being completely uncensored unedited allowing them to do anything and everything from unedited profanity to other conduct insinuation with underage gameplayer that system itself should be removed

And you can also just do the same thing in say chat when you turn the profanity filter off.

I'm failing to see the difference. Not to mention that the custom emotions are JUST TEXT. Just like the chat box. You can macro existing emote motions to a custom emote but you can't just have the character do anything they want

I have personally witnessed let's just say unbecoming activity my filters are set at the highest and because of this /em command it prints it up on the screen no matter what the filters are set to because it is classified as an emote no I am NOT going to sit here and say what the definition of other conduct is

Might I add this is a child's game set at rated teen and I have already brought this attention and reported it and I was specifically instructed to post it on this website so let's let things be as it is because you do not want to understand the definition of other conduct because it could be detrimental

Welcome to online gaming.

There's no such thing as a perfect community. But the number of users who play the game appropriately and don't do "unbecoming activity" far outweighs those that do.

The custom emotes is very important to those who RP. And the RP community is huge. You don't upset a large portion of subscribers just to stop a few individuals from acting out of line.

It's called report and move on. Do you want them to also get rid of swimsuits too so that people don't run up to you and spam emotes that basically hump your character? I didn't think so.

Technically, the game content published by SE is rated T; what other people say is not subject to the rating, hence "Other: Online Interactions Not Rated by the ESRB".

That said, it sounds like a better way to phrase this would be to say "The /em command should be governed by the profanity filter like other chat methods".

Something else that would be handy is if emotes and custom emotes were separated in the chat window filters, that way individuals could disable custom emotes from their own user experience (just like other chat methods), without removing the functionality from everyone and still being able to see the built-in emotes.

Edit: So, they are already separated in the chat window, you can disable custom emotes.

In case you didn't know, the ESRB does NOT rate online interactions. Their ratings are solely based on what is experienced in-game by NPCs and the like.

All online interactions are not rated because it's basically "anything goes".

If you don't think this game is appropriate for your child, then it's up to you as a PARENT to deal with it. The game shouldn't have to be coddled just to let parents be lazy in terms of allowing their kids to play specific games.

With all due respect when this specific command system has the ability to insinuate strong sexual graphic nature to underaged players in this game , am I to assume that you see nothing wrong with this behavior
