Market Board question
I haven't been playing a lot recently, but did resub for a month just to see if I wanted to play again. When last I played, anything I put up on the MB would just be up there for sale forever and I could adjust prices as needed.
Has this changed?
When I visit my retainers after a few days, I'm told they are selling no items, but after I close the window they are selling items again. Is this just a bug or are the items expiring after a certain amount of time now?
Thanks for any help!

That's been in play for a long time not sure when you left though as long as you check your retainers you are effectively re putting them up on the market board.

Hmmm, I think I quit subscribing last fall some time and I don't think it wasn't like that before I left though I guess I was probably checking retainers all the time back then so maybe I just missed that whole mechanic.
Thanks for the reply Aven. :-)

You need to "check" on your retainers for them to keep items up for sale. Seeing as though im always sending them out on ventures I don't know the window for when they stop selling items. I would assume it happens after couple of days of them being left alone.

They stop selling after around a week of not being checked. This has been the case since 2.0 launch, unless my memory is really failing me.

Okay then, thanks for clearing that up for me everyone! I was doing a lot of crafting and selling to make gil before I quit playing, so that's probably why I never experienced the issue before.

When you first use the summoning bell, the window where you select the retainer by name should tell you both whether they have items up for sale and also how long they'll keep them for sale, like:
<name> is selling <number> items until <date>
