Now in the hall of the novice say you complete the DPS trial as a mage and get mage gear. Can you then do it as a Dex based class and get the Dex gear or str based class and get the str gear since even tough they are DPS classes use different gear. Since all the gear really is is a recolor of the gear you find in the first three dungoens
DoW dps gear has stats for both str/dex, DoM gear has stats for int/mind
But if I got the Dom DPS gear can I then get th Dow DPS gear to in the hall of the novice was what I was asking? Anybody know. Or am I locked out from getting it since I got the Dom DPS set from it?
You can get all the gear, your reward will depend on which role you complete the task with.

I think what OP is asking is if, say they do the DPS ones on Arcanist, can they go back and do them again on Lancer and get another set of gear. The answer is, yes, you can. You're still limited to 1 ring, but you can get each of the three sets. You can also discard the pieces when you're done with them and, if you ever need to get a piece you discarded back, can just run through the hall again.
I hadn't tried doing them on Arcanist or Thaumaturge, actually. I did switch between all types of DPS classes on my main and saw that the lessons were the same, so I didn't really think to see if the reward was different. But yeah, it'd make sense that the Arcanist and Thaumaturge would get the same rewards as the Conjurer, since that set is "Disciple of Magic" (and gives both Int and Mnd). I did them on Lancer, and got the recoloured "Disciple of War" set.
Also, later when you get retainers and want to equip them for ventures, you can equip them with that ring to raise their ilvl quickly (since it's ilvl30), then do the last exercise again to get another ring. In fact, as long as you don't carry the gear piece with you, you'll get another copy if you do the lesson again. So if you accidentally get rid of them, you can get a new set. (At least for now; I hope they won't patch that away.)
Yeah, I did all tank, DPS, and healer and got all 3 sets of gear.
The only thing to watch for is the first trial of learning to avoid AoEs. If you do it with one role, it considers it complete with the other roles, so you need to go in and manually select it for each role if you want the gear that it rewards.
