Is there free trial for Mac Version?

Hi Guys.

I heard that the Mac version is now available in the store.
I have some friends who are considering playing it on a Mac. They have never played FF14 so they want to get a free trial first.

However, I realize there is no link to download a free trial client for Mac.
I was wondering if the free trial is not available for Mac, and if a new Mac player wishes to try the game, he/she will have to buy the 59.99 bundle?

I am a new Mac player, I bought the bundle but it was on special offer so I saved on that. I found no mention whatsoever about a free trial on the Mac nor any download link for the Mac client on the free trial site.

I would guess that SE will add this to the free trial at some point in the future?

Providing that their Mac meets the criteria your friends will be ok as long as they leave the window at the default size and do not try and run it at the full screen native resolution.

Of course if they have to take leap of faith at the moment like I did - could be an expensive one if they don't like it.

Actually, what the OP was asking for was a free trial before buying the game and not the 30 days game time that is included when buying the game.

To reply the OP, albeit quite late, no, there is currently no free trial for mac.

yeah, doesnt work, any mac client gives you a registration wall. free trial on mac is not a thing.

unfortunately at this time the only way to get the free trial on a mac is to run the pc one in a boot camp partition
