"An unexpected error has occurred. Exiting FINAL FANTASY XIV.(17)"

I've written this in different places about 5 times already but here goes.

I've been unable to log in to Exodus with my main character for almost 24 hours now. I can log in with alts on the same and different servers. When I got kicked off my main character, I was in the middle of zoning into Coerthas Central Highlands from Foundation via the Gates of Judgement, and was on my way to meet Alphinaud at Camp Dragonhead as part of MSQ.

The Error I get is: "An unexpected error has occurred. Exiting FINAL FANTASY XIV.(17)"

I updated my graphics drivers, reset game settings, Defraged my drive, no luck.

I've been with Chat Support all morning and followed their suggestions, which included disabling anti-virus and firewalls, and opening up ports, no luck.

Try the "switch data center" fix, no luck.

Short of reinstalling the game I've tried everything else that I could think of or that has been mentioned to me.

This has been a very frustrating process. Help?
